Meet Dr. Mills
I was born and raised on a small farm here in Kansas. I still enjoy going home to help with the family farm. In fact it was farming that first introduced me to chiropractic as a teenager. I was first treated by a chiropractor for a condition called “Tractor Back”. After high school I signed a letter of intent to play football in college but quickly learned I was probably going to get hurt and wanted to focus on school in order to attend medical school. So I dropped the football scholarship and accepted a golf scholarship (less chance of being hurt). However, as fate would have it I injured myself playing golf and just happened to be playing a chiropractor that day. The chiropractor offered to help and while I was under his care he taught me about chiropractic. I was so amazed at with how he was able to help so many patients with a variety of conditions just by touching them. So I decided not to attend KU medical school and instead to become a chiropractor in order to provide REAL healing. I truly believe God showed me his path because there is not a day that goes by that I don’t thank God for allowing me to become a chiropractor and help sick people get well.
Along the way I married my best friend and high school sweet heart in 1999. She has been a true blessing and my rock. My wife and I have not been blessed with any children yet, but we have a dog named Atlas that keeps us pretty entertained. Atlas is a Brittney Spaniel with more energy than any dog should have.
After graduating from Pittsburg State University with honors, I went on to attend Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis. I graduated first in my class of 125 students at Logan and I continue to keep up-to-date on the changes and advancements in the chiropractic field. I currently hold advanced proficiency status with Activator Methods, Inc. I am also a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and the Kansas Chiropractic Association. I am certified in Chiropractic Pediatrics and as an Acupuncturist. With additional training in sports injuries, auto accidents, wellness care, Neuro-Emotional Technique, Allergy Elimination, Chiropractic Biophysics, Active Release Technique, nutrition, and rehabilitation.
